The Ingall Bagpipe Band from Oxford County, Ontario,
Canada, will return to Taiwan to join in celebrations
marking the 130th anniversary of the beginning of Protestant
mission work in the North of the Island. Oxford County,
the home of the Rev. Dr. George Leslie Mackay, has an
historical connection with Northern Taiwan. The band
was here last year to take part in the commemoration of the
100th anniversary of Rev. Mackay's death, and was
invited back. On this trip they will perform a concert at
the National Music Theater and at community venues in
Tam-sui, Hualien, Taipei and Hsinchu during a one week stay.

Taiwan Church News 2608, February 24th, 2002
Reported by Chiou Kaili, Written by David Alexander

The Pei-chi Literary Foundation and the Chien Chin
Presbyterian Church in Kaohsiung sponsored a True Love
Children's Camp from February 4th to 5th. 220 children
in grades 1 through 6 participated.
The purpose of the camp was to help children learn humility,
obedience, patience, love and unselfishness as they develop
healthy human relationships. The curriculum was bible based.
Conference organizers said, "We hope parents can see
children as a gift of God. God has a good plan for each child.
As parents and children study and learn together, their
deepened intimacy can form the basis for Christian homes."
