National Prayer Breakfast Preparatory Committee at Work
As the weekend of May 17 to 19 draws nearer, the preparatory
committee for the second annual National Prayer Breakfast in
Taiwan steps up its pace of work. April 30th has been scheduled
as a day of fasting and prayer for ministers and church members,
drawing people together to call on God for Taiwan and for the
smooth progression of activities to and through the formal event.

Foreign dignitaries and representatives participating in the
prayer breakfast itself will attend a reception on the evening of
the 17th, followed by the breakfast itself on the 18th at the
international conference center. They will worship with local
congregations on the 19th, and attend regional prayer meetings
later that afternoon.
On the 18th, besides representatives across the ecumenical
rainbow of Taiwan's Christians, Aboriginal and ethnic Han choirs
will present anthems. President Chen Shui-bian will also speak
at the event.
