after election

June 16 cyber-conversation will be first for a GA moderator

LOUISVILLE - For the first time, the new moderator of the 214th General Assembly will engage the whole church in a public conversation following his election in Columbus, OH this week.

The conversation will be conducted on PresbyNet, the Presbyterian Church (USA) computer communication network, on Sunday, June 16 at 4:00 p.m., Eastern Time.

The three announced candidates for moderator are the Rev. Fahed Abu-Akel of Greater Atlanta Presbytery, the Rev. Laird Stuart of San Francisco Presbytery, and the Rev. Jerry Tankersley of Los Ranchos Presbytery. The moderator's election is Saturday evening, June 15.
