Kieschnick delivers mission message in Sept. 22 webcast

Missouri Synod President Gerald Kieschnick will deliver a mission-related
message and talk about the steady growth of LCMS ethnic ministries in a
30-minute televised webcast set for Sunday, Sept. 22, at 10:30 a.m. CDT.

After his message, Kieschnick will be joined on the webcast by Rev.
Yohannes Mengsteab, LCMS World Mission facilitator for new African
immigrant and urban missions. Mengsteab will talk about the celebration of
Pentecost 2000 cross-cultural ministries at an event scheduled for July 10,
2004, the opening day of the Synod's next convention.

Kieschnick used Internet technology earlier this year to announce the
continuation of the Synod's "Pentecost 2000" mission effort to encourage
and track the growth of ministries to immigrants. During that webcast in
May, LCMS members were able to e-mail questions, either in advance or
during the live webcast, and hear Kieschnick's answers on a variety of
subjects.

To receive more specific instructions on how to join the Sept. 22 webcast,
viewers are encouraged to pre-register at
http://www.cuenet.edu/pentecost2000. A recorded version of the webcast also
will be posted at that Web site.
