ABCUSA: MMBB Communications Director Appointed

American Baptist News Service (9/16/02)--Dr. Sumner M. Grant, executive
director of The Ministers and Missionaries Benefit Board (MMBB), has
announced the appointment of Judi Main as MMBB's communications director,
effective Sept. 16, 2002.

Since 2000 Main has been director of creative development for
OnlineBenefits, an Internet-based company that develops, implements and
manages a wide range of Web-based solutions for human resources.  Previously
she served as a consultant in employee benefits with ASA Communications,
Coopers and Lybrand and William M. Mercer.  She also has worked for Fidelity
Investments and The Principal.

Main holds a B.A. degree in philosophy from Iowa State University and
currently is completing the requirements to become a certified employee
benefit specialist.  She is a chartered life underwriter, chartered
financial consultant and a fellow of the Life Office Management Association
of America.  Formerly Main was licensed as a registered representative to
sell securities.

Commenting on her appointment, Grant said, "Judi has tremendous depth as a
communicator in the fields of finance and employee benefits.  This combined
with her proven ability in print and electronic media will take MMBB to a
new level in its quest to distinguish itself as a superior provider of
benefits through exceptional personalized service."
