American Baptist News Service (10/7/02)--Dr. Sumner M. Grant, executive
director of The Ministers and Missionaries Benefit Board (MMBB), has
announced the appointment of Matthew D. Hoffman as a new member service
representative (MSR) in the New York office, effective Oct. 7, 2002.
Hoffman's appointment increases the number of New York MSRs to five.

A certified financial planner, Hoffman has been a financial advisor with
Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Inc. in New York City since 1999.
