Episcopalians: 2003 General Convention news teams seeking a
few good scribes

Looking to spend two fabulous all-expenses-paid weeks in
Minneapolis with thousands of Episcopalians next summer? Itching
to be there for all the action--the hearings, the debates, the
votes, the Amish cheese?

The Episcopal News Service, Convention Daily and
telecommunications news teams for the Minneapolis General
Convention, July 27-August 8, 2003, are seeking volunteer
editors, writers, and communicators to cover the pomp and
pageantry, the politics and passion, of the triennial meeting.

Previous experience with one of the news teams, or familiarity
with General Convention, is very helpful--but journalistic
experience in a fast-paced reporting environment is essential.

Volunteers should plan on arriving in Minneapolis on Sunday,
July 27, and staying through the end of General Convention on
August 8. Housing and other expenses will be paid by the
respective news teams, and each team member will receive an
honorarium.

Managing editor for the 2003 ENS team will be Jim DeLa,
director of communications for the Diocese of Southwest Florida.
Bob Williams, director of communications for the Diocese of Los
Angeles, will edit the Convention Daily.

To apply for a spot on one of the news teams, please send a
cover letter with resume and/or biographical information to the
Office of News and Information, 815 Second Avenue, New York
10017. Please indicate specific interests as well as skills, and
include telephone numbers and e-mail addresses.
