ABCUSA: Rothenberger, Eapen to New HRD Positions

General Secretary the Rev. Dr. A. Roy Medley has announced the appointments
of Wendy Rothenberger and Johnson Eapen to new responsibilities within the
Office of Human Resource Development.

Rothenberger has been named director of Human Resource Development.  A
certified paralegal, she has been a staff member of the Office of the
General Secretary for more than 10 years, including responsibilities as
associate director of Human Resource Development and Legal Services for the
past four years.  

Rothenberger holds a B.A. degree in international relations from St.
Joseph's University in Philadelphia.  She recently spent six months on a
short-term volunteer assignment in Chiang Mai, Thailand, working primary
with young woman at the New Life Center and with the Health Project for
Tribal People.

Eapen, who has served as assistant director of Human Resource Development
for the past two years, has been named associate director of that office.  

Eapen holds a B.S. degree in technology and an M.S. degree in human resource
development from Pittsburg State University and an M.B.A. degree from
Eastern College.  He has prior experience in employee relations, training
and organizational development, recruitment, and compensation and benefits.

In announcing the promotions Medley said, "Human resources is a true
ministry, one that requires the utmost skill in addressing the wide-ranging
vocational needs of our employees.  Wendy Rothenberger and Johnson Eapen
have shown great sensitivity and ability in serving our staff and others,
earning the trust and appreciation of so many colleagues in the workplace.
I am confident that in their new roles as director and associate director
Wendy and Johnson will meet successfully the ongoing challenges of providing
the best services for our staff."
