Grants Awarded From Black Leadership Projects Fund
Over $43,000 has been awarded through the Black Leadership Projects
Fund. The Fund, established in 1970, awards project grants for " an
event activity or resource that will strengthen the lay and/or clergy
leadership of the African American congregations of the Christian Church
(Disciples of Christ)." Nine new grants were announced for 2002. Go to

Homeland Ministries Establishing Office of Christian Vocations
In response to expressions of need from the College of Regional
Ministers, the General Commission on Ministry and the General Board of
the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), the Division of Homeland
Ministries is establishing the Office of Christian Vocations. The
ministries of this office begin immediately.
