Book discussions to resume on PresbyNet

by Jerry L. Van Marter

LOUISVILLE - Continuing a successful partnership launched last year,
PresbyNet - the Presbyterian Church (USA)'s computer communication network -
and the Presbyterian Publishing Corporation (PPC) will co-sponsor a series of
interactive online book discussions in 2003.

The discussion series, which will include some "live-chats," will begin Jan.
6 with a discussion of Blessed One: Protestant Perspectives on Mary. The Rev.
Cynthia Rigby, a theology professor at Austin Presbyterian Theological
Seminary and co-editor of the book, will lead the discussion.

Other PPC books that will be featured throughout the year are:

* Excellent Protestant Congregations by Paul Wilkes.

* Being Disciples of Jesus in a Dot.Com World: A Theological Survival Guide
for Youth, Adults and Other Confused Christians by Ted V. Foote Jr. and P.
Alex Thornburg.

* Street-Smart Ethics: Succeeding in Business without Selling Your Soul by
Clinton W. McLemore.

* Grace Keeps You Going: Spiritual Wisdom from Cancer Survivors by Mac N.
and Anne Shaw Turnage.

* The Gospel According to Harry Potter by Connie Neal.
