ABCUSA: International Ministries Staff Changes Announced

American Baptist News Service (Valley Forge, Pa. 1/9/03)--American Baptist
International Ministries has announced the appointment of Lisa Rothenberger
as the acting associate executive director and Ruthann Stevenson as the
acting director of Missionary-Church Relations, effective Jan. 8, 2003.  

Dr. John A. Sundquist, executive director of International Ministries,
announced these appointments as the associate executive director and
director of Missionary-Church Relations, Donna Anderson, found it necessary
to take a leave of absence under the Family Medical Leave Act.	

Rothenberger will continue to serve as the team leader for Mission
Education, Communication and Development.  Stevenson will continue to serve
as director of the Speakers Bureau and as recording secretary of the
American Baptist Foreign Mission Society. 

In announcing the appointments, Sundquist asked "the entire American Baptist
family to be in prayer for Donna and her husband, David.  In Donna's
long-standing service to the denomination her ministry has touched many of
you in different ways.	She values your prayers and would be delighted to
