   To help unmarried Christians who are looking for a suitable
"companion" many churches have taken on the role of "go
between".  Ter-sheng (Tek-seng) Presbyterian Church in Kaohsiung
City (Taiwan's second largest conurbation) recently established a
"Single Men and Women Introduction Team" to help in the search.
The church hopes that couples who move from introduction to
marriage will establish Christian homes.
   The team has prepared a "profile form" which can be filled in
by single Christians.  It sent out blank forms to 132
Presbyterian congregations in Kaohsiung City and County and the
Peng-hu Archipelago. The team's manager, Rev. Hwang Li-hun, said,
"In addition to those never married, we also welcome widows,
widowers and the divorced to submit information.  After we get
forms and photos we will do some analytical work and try to
introduce people we think are good matches. She emphasizes, "All
materials we receive will be handled with the utmost
confidentiality. Only clergy will be allowed access to individual
files. Only Christians will be allowed to register with the
team."
   In addition, the church will establish a marriage growth
group, to be called the "Wing to Wing Flight Training Workshop".
It will hold eight sessions beginning early in April.  The first
group will be limited to 20 participants, and sessions will
center on topics of law, education, protection, marriage and
communications.
