   Aletheia University (AU), an agency of the Presbyterian Church
in
Taiwan (PCT), has mounted a practical project uniting its
educational and
religious identities in mission aid to Malawi.	It has collected
30 computers
to send to the N'khoma Church University in Malawi.  The overseas
school
is operated by the N'khoma Synod of the Presbyterian Church of
Central
Africa.  The university will also offer computer training to
three technicians
from Malawi who come to Taiwan.
   The project is part of a cooperative agreement between the
N'khoma
Synod and the 7 Stars Presbytery of the PCT.  The Rev. Tony Lo,
pastor
of Ta-an Presbyterian Church in Taipei, is the main coordinator
for the
presbytery's overseas mission work.  He notes that, though the
idea that
AU do something may have come from the presbytery, the actual
decision
of what and how much to do came from the school itself.
   The Malawi ambassador to Taiwan, Ms. Eunice Kazende, says that
the
ways in which the PCT and AU have joined in concern for the
N'khoma
Church University reflects the spirit of growing together in
love.  She added
that in an information dominated world, the computer equipment,
technology and training offered by AU will have a direct effect
on her
country's population.
   AU President Yeh Neng-jer said, "This school operates from a
liberal
attitude, following the spirit of Christian love, to help serve
as Christ's hands
and feet."  He added that the love of God knows no boundaries,
and that
AU is happy to lovingly help in the improvement of Malawi's
people.
