The World Council of Churches is seeking six young adults to serve as interns
in its Geneva offices from September 2003 to September 2004.

Applicants must be between 18 to 30 years of age at the beginning of the
internship. The application deadline is June 10.

Interns are expected to be "committed to the ideals of the ecumenical
movement." They will be assigned to one of six program areas: international
affairs; church and ecumenical relations; special commission, ecclesiology
and baptism; media relations, Dalit program (open only to Dalits from India);
and diakonia and justice.

Being able to work in English is a requirement, but knowledge of French,
Spanish and German is considered desirable. Interns also must be able to work
with flexibility in a multicultural environment; have the capacity and
willingness to handle administrative tasks; demonstrate computer-related
skills; and have skills in both spoken and written communication.

The WCC pays a "student allowance" for the interns, along with economy travel
costs to Geneva and back home, costs associated with visas and work permits
and a few other assorted costs.
