CWS Names Ann Walle as New Marketing and Communications

HUMANITARIAN AGENCY CHURCH WORLD SERVICE NAMES ANN WALLE
AS NEW MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR

May 19, 2003 (New York, NY) - Church World Service announces the appointment
of Ann Walle to the newly created position of Director of Marketing and
Communications.

With more than 18 years experience in communications and marketing, Walle
was most recently Director of Marketing and Communications for the American
Museum of Natural History, New York.  At the Museum she directed all aspects
of strategic and tactical marketing, programs, conferences and events.

Walles prior experience reflects a variety of communication, advertising
and marketing positions with for-profit companies, including Cartier, Inc.
and Breitling USA.  She has broad experience in market research and
analysis, corporate branding, media, and special events.

Walle has a BA Degree from the University of Michigan and a MA Degree in
Media & Communications from New York University.  She is a member of the
Presbyterian Church (USA).

In recent years Church World Service has expanded its strategic mission and
gained greater name recognition, even while humanitarian aid groups are
proliferating.	Says Walle, For 57 years Church World Service has led its
diverse missions worldwide. Now is the time to give voice to its distinct
directions and to gain support for its programs, all of which emphasize
sustainability through work with local partners.

In CWS unique model, teams work to advocate for peaceful solutions, to
provide emergency relief when disaster occurs, to aid and relocate refugees
affected by civil unrest or persecution, and then partner to provide
sustainable economic and social development. CWS work grows and succeeds

Walle lives in Larchmont, New York.  She is married with two children.
