Westminster Abbey hosts celebration of 50th Anniversary of the Coronation of
HM Queen Elizabeth II

On 2 June 1953, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was crowned in Westminster
Abbey. To mark the 50th Anniversary of that ceremony a service was held at
11:30am on 2 June 2003, attended by members of the Royal Family, people who
attended the 1953 occasion and over 1,000 members of the public who were
successful in a ballot for tickets.
