American Baptist News Service (Valley Forge, Pa. 6/11/03)--The American
Baptist Historical Society announces the resignation of the Rev. Dr. H. W.
Walker Pipkin from his position as director of the American Baptist-Samuel
Colgate Historical Library in Rochester, N.Y.  

Executive Director Dr. Deborah Van Broekhoven expressed regret at the
resignation.  She noted that Dr. Pipkin's understanding of Anabaptist
history and familiarity with current Baptist organizations around the world
were extremely useful to researchers who sought to study Baptists in both an
international and historical context.
