American Baptist News Service (Valley Forge, Pa. 7/10/03)--The Rev. Lorenz
R. Michelson, retired American Baptist pastor and staff member, died June
19.  He was 84.

Michelson served pastorates in Stanley, N.D.; Cashmere, Wash.; and Spokane,
Wash. In 1959 he began a 30-year period of national work that included World
Mission Support and International Ministries, as a part-time estate planning
representative.   He retired in 1991.

Condolences may be sent to his wife, Laverne, and family at 1580 Geary Rd.,
Apt. 16B, Walnut Creek, CA 94597.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be
made to Shell Ridge Community Church, 200 La Casa Via, Walnut Creek, CA
94598, designated for One Great Hour of Sharing.
