Reported by Li Hsin-ren, Translated and rewritten by David Alexander

SARS was responsible for the cancellation of an international youth
convention scheduled for July.	The convention organizers, the Youth
Committee
of the Presbyterian Church in Taiwan, has channeled the energy that was
behind
the convention into several different channels during the two year delay
before the convention will be held.
Study groups have been organized in several locations around Taiwan to
call
young people who love this land to study and work together. The conference
themes of "Nation, Tribe, Justice and Peace" are addressed through focus on
Taiwan's political and ecclesiastical history.	A formal "kick off" session
leading into a two year study program will be held in Taipei on September
7th.
The Rev. Mr. Fang Kun-ting said, "The theme is a general organizing
principle to get us into Taiwan's history. As we understand our nation's
background, we will be formed into a movement.	After two years of study,
when
these Christian young people assemble for the convention, they will be able
to
express the voice of Taiwan.
