Mary Holmes story went too far

An Aug. 26 story about Mary Holmes College reported inaccurately that its
trustees had decided to close the school and file for bankruptcy. Mary Holmes
officials say they are considering several options for dealing with its
financial problems, including the possibility of filing for bankruptcy, but
have made no decisions on its future beyond suspending operations for the
fall semester. Erroneous information was provided to the Presbyterian News
Service by PC(USA) education officials.
