Looking for a few good women

Science-related nominees sought for annual Women of Faith Awards

LOUISVILLE -  Women whose witness and service in the Presbyterian Church
(USA) is lived out in the vocational arena of science, technology,
engineering or a related field are being sought as nominees for the church's
annual Women of Faith Awards.

The awards will be presented during the Women of Faith Awards Breakfast at
the 216th General Assembly next June in Richmond, VA.

The 2004 them is "Women at Work in God's Realm - Science, Technology or
Engineering."

A nominee must be a living Presbyterian woman, lay or clergy, who in her life
exemplifies faith in God and commitment to the PC(USA) and who is a leader
denominationally, ecumenically or globally. Current General Assembly staff
members are not eligible.

Awardees are selected by a committee of representatives from groups related
to the Women's Ministries Program Area of the National Ministries Division.

Nominations must be made on an official form. To obtain one write to Women's

Deadline for nominations is Jan. 15, 2004.
