Continuum launches international Journal of Anglican Studies

[ACNS source: Continuum Books] A new international journal is released
this month concerned with the study of Anglicanism in all its forms. The
scholarly journal is published by Continuum Publishers on behalf of the
Journal of Anglican Studies Trust and will appear twice a year.
The founding Editor Dr Bruce Kaye, General Secretary of the Anglican
Church of Australia, declared that the Journal represents a bold
initiative to engage Anglican scholars from around the world in serious
study of the Anglican tradition.

He said that the initiative had been widely welcomed, and the Journal
was especially grateful for the support and encouragement of the
Archbishop of Canterbury. Dr Rowan Williams has contributed an article
in the first edition and has commended the initiative as a "very
exciting prospect".

The Secretary General of the Anglican Communion, John Peterson, welcomed
the new journal and said it would make "a valuable contribution to the
life of the Anglican Communion".

The Journal has an editorial board drawn from around the world, and the
first issues contain articles from Africa, Australia, England and the
USA.

Full details of the Journal including a special introductory offer,
contributor's guidelines and the contents of the first issue can be
found on the Continuum web site: www.continuumjournals.com/jas.
