TULSA, OK - Bob Lawless, the 16th president of The University of Tulsa, has
announced that he will retire next June 1. He has been TU's president since
1996. He is a former president and chief executive officer of Texas Tech
University in Lubbock, TX.

TUSCALOOSA, AL - Stillman College President Ernest McNealey has been named
chairman of the Board of the Association of Presbyterian Colleges and
Universities (APCU). McNealey, a member of the APCU board since 1998, has
more than 25 years' experience in higher education. He became Stillman's
president in 1997. APCU represents 66 colleges and seven secondary schools
with historic ties to the PC(USA).

DANVILLE, KY - Centre College expects to learn this month whether it will be
host of a 2004 presidential debate. The Commission on Presidential Debates is
considering 14 sites for a General Election debate. The Centre campus was the
site of a 2000 debate between candidates for the U.S. vice presidency.

BRISTOL, TN - King College has received a $200,000 grant from the U.S.
Department of Justice to prevent crimes against women on campus. The grant
will establish the King College Safe Campus (KCSC) Project, which aims to
improve campus security, enhance educational programs and hire additional
security staff.
