Bilingual Prayer Books now available

[ACNS source: Convocation of American Churches in Europe] The
Convocation of American Churches in Europe is delighted to announce the
release of Spanish-English and French-English editions of our bilingual
prayer book, Selected Liturgies from the Book of Common Prayer.

Like the Italian-English version first published by St James Church
(Florence) in 1999, the Spanish and French editions include the
following liturgies, with facing text in English:

* Daily Morning Prayer: Rite II
* Daily Evening Prayer: Rite II
* Compline
* Holy Baptism
* Celebration of a Marriage
* Holy Eucharist: Rite II
* Prayers of the People
* Reconciliation of a Penitent
* Ministration to the Sick
* Burial of the Dead: Rite I

Each edition also includes an appendix of selected psalms, prayers and
thanksgivings.

Cloth-bound with a ribbon bookmark and 384 pages long, the bilingual
editions are paginated and formatted to correspond with the Church
Hymnal Corporation's 1979 standard Book of Common Prayer. Individual
copies are available for a donation of US$25, which includes book rate
shipping and handling charges. A limited number of leather-bound copies
are available for a total donation of US$50 each. A 10% discount will
apply to orders of five or more copies, and a special parish rate is
available for bulk orders.

For more information or to request copies of any of the bilingual
editions, please contact:

Eventual proceeds from the sale of the books will be forwarded to the
Convocation and used to finance the German-English Prayer Book - due to
be available in late 2004 - defray printing costs, set aside for future
reprints or used to permit complimentary distribution.
