Forthcoming continental meetings

The All Africa Conference of Churches will be hosting the following 
meetings at the KCB (Kenya Commercial Bank) Conference Centre (situated two 
kilometres from Karen shopping centre towards Ngong)

The meetings are:-

1.  Meeting of all General Secretaries of the National Christian Councils 
and Sub-regional fellowships from 25th to 30th January, 2004.  They will 
deliberate on ways in which they can firm linkages for stronger pan-African 
voice when addressing both national and continental agenda.

2. A meeting on Human Rights situation in Africa from January 30th 
2004.  This meeting is jointly sponsored by AACC and the Geneva based World 
Council of Churches and will gather NGO leaders as well as leaders from 
Christian organisation to review human rights situation in Africa and plan 
a way forward for the observance of human rights.

3. AACC General Committee meeting will be held from January 31st to 
February 4th 2004.  The committee brings together church leaders from 40 
African countries.  The committee is a policy making organ of AACC and 
ensures that the continental agenda of the African Church is pursued.

Please note that in relation to the General Committee meeting, there will 
be a worship at St. Andrews (PCEA) Church on Sunday, 1st February 2004 at 
4:30 p.m. at which the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Kalonzo Musyoka is 
expected to address a congregation.  The worship is organised by church 
leaders in Kenya as well as the National Christian Council of Kenya (NCCK).

All the above functions will be open to the press.
