Correction to Interfaith Relations story

The Presbyterian News Service incorrectly reported in a June 1
General Assembly backgrouder that a 1987 paper on the relationship between
Christians and Jews was adopted as official Presbyterian Church (USA) policy.
That is incorrect. The paper, "A Theological Understanding of the
Relationship Between Christians and Jews," was adopted for study and
reflection.

It says that Christians and Jews have distinct, authentic covenants with
God, and that faithful coversation between the two groups is appropriate
witness. It doesn't say Christians shouldn't talk about Jesus, but it
discourages proselytizing.
