Taiwan Church News 2728, 7 - 13 June 2004
Reported by Hsiao Shiuh-ching. Translated and Rewritten by David Alexander

The Senior Citizens' University of the Presbyterian Church in Taiwan has a
central office on the campus of a Bible college in the north, but its 46
satellite campuses are scattered through villages and towns nationwide.
Though diplomas and certificates are issued by the central office the
graduation ceremonies themselves are held where classes have been taken.

On 4th June the East Gate/Ho-chin United Campus held a graduation ceremony at
Barclay Memorial Presbyterian Church in Tainan. Among the graduates was Mr.
Chang Chyong-lin, 80 years of age, who received the Master of Arts degree.
Mr. Chang, a member of Barclay Memorial Church, began studying at the
university six years ago. He is upheld as an example of the Taiwanese proverb
that goes, "Live long, study long."
