THE DISCIPLES REMEMBER FORMER PRESIDENT REAGAN
As the nation mourns the passing of Ronald Reagan, our 40th president, the
Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) remembers his involvement as a
Disciple. Reagan was a member of First Christian Church in Dixon, Illinois
as a young boy, where he attended Bible classes and acted in church plays.
Memorial services were held at the church on Thursday. Chris Hobgood,
General Minister and President of the Christian Church (Disciples of
Christ) was one of several speakers.

The former president also is being remembered with memorial services at
Eureka College, a liberal arts school run by the Disciples. Reagan,
recognized as the school's most renowned alumnus, graduated from the
college in 1932. http://www.eureka.edu/.
