	Delegates amend Articles of Incorporation,
	Board of Directors responsibilities

	By a 654 to 541 vote, the convention adopted changes to the
Synods Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws that limit the management
authority and duties of the Board of Directors and clarify the role of
the Commission on Constitutional Matters (CCM). The resolution also
overrules two Board resolutions that said eight CCM opinions that
addressed Board authority are of no effect. A full story will be sent
out via LCMSNews tomorrow morning.

	Convention adopts resolution
	that seeks to foster peace in Synod

	Delegates today commended the Council of Presidents for their
commitment to seeking peace in the Synod and requested materials to
foster peace, harmony, and trust in The Lutheran ChurchMissouri

	Seeking the lost is the greatest task, says Bible study leader

	Finding and saving people who are lost must be a priority for
The Lutheran ChurchMissouri Synod, said Rev. David Smith, senior pastor
of St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Des Pere, Mo., in his Bible study today

	Delegates approve changes to bylaws
	on ecclesiastical supervision, dispute resolution

	After discussion spanning two sessions and drawing a steady
stream of delegates to the microphones, the convention today passed a
resolution that changed and clarified Synod bylaws regarding
ecclesiastical supervision of congregations and professional church
workers and resolution of disputes between workers. (For more, go to

	Convention thanks God
	for post-9/11 aid

	Delegates today passed a resolution that thanks God for
resources and help in the aftermath of the terror attacks on Sept. 11,
