MCC Women's Professional Ministry Conference
February 3-6, 2005 . Sarasota, Florida

I'm pleased to invite all women involved in church ministry to participate
in the upcoming MCC Women's Professional Ministry Conference in Sarasota,
Florida during February 3-6, 2005.

This will be an opportunity for learning, sharing, networking, continuing
education -- and will be a motivational way to launch a new and productive
year
of ministry in	2005!

The conference is open to all women involved in professional ministry: s
enior pastors, clergy-on-staff, women in professional lay ministry, clergy
in
training and formation, chaplains, and women involved in church
administration
or other church ministries.

All conference events will take place at Church of the Trinity MCC in
Sarasota, Florida (USA). The conference site is easily accessible by flying
into
airports in Sarasota or Tampa.

This year's keynote speaker will be Iyanla Vanzant, a nationally recognized
inspirational speaker devoted to showing others the way to transform their
lives.	Emerge magazine has referred to her as being among the "most dynamic

African-American speakers in the country (USA)." She has been a frequent
guest
on Oprah and for a time had her own televised talk show. She will speak on
the topic "Value in the Valley" on Thursday afternoon and Friday morning.
Her two books, "Value in the Valley" and "Faith in the	Valley." have sold
over
1 million copies.

Rev. Dr. Mona West will offer "Peace in the Valley," a workshop utilizing
the labyrinth, guided imagery and story to promote healing and wholeness.
The
labyrinth will be explained as a powerful spiritual tool. Participants will
be
invited to make a journey on an actual labyrinth that will allow them to
release burdens they carry in order to	be open to the transforming power of
the
Spirit.

The program this year will include a half-day of listening to and learning
from the "Voices of Latin America." Our facilitator will be Rev. Araceli
Ezzatti, pastoral leader and joint founder of our new MCC church in
Montevideo,
Uruguay.

Worship services during the conference are designed and led by Rev. Kristen

Klein-Cechettini; music is planned and led by Rev. Candy Holmes.

Early registration is $70 and can take place from the Fellowship Website at
_www.MCCchurch.org_ (aoldb://mail/write/www.MCCchurch.org)
. Registration includes lunch on both Thursday	and Friday.

There will be plenty of social and recreational activities available on
Saturday, a concert by Rev. Delores Berry on Saturday evening, and
opportunities
for worship on Sunday morning when Rev. Dr. Mona West will preach at the
9:15
AM Service, and Rev. Araceli Ezzatti will preach at the 11 AM Service.
Delores Berrry will sing at both services.

All women who serve in ministry are welcome to register. For more
information contact Connie Meadows by e-mail at
_constancemeadows@comcast.net_
(aoldb://mail/write/constancemeadows@comcast.net) .

IMPORTANT NOTE: Space	is limited; the conference can accommodate only the
first 200 women who register -- so be sure to register early!

I hope to see you in Sarasota, Florida	during February 3-6 for the MCC
Women's Professional Ministry Conference.
