American Baptist News Service (Valley Forge, Pa. 2/4/05)--Dr. Sumner M.
Grant, executive director of The Ministers and Missionaries Benefit
Board (MMBB), has announced the appointment of the Rev. Clifton Morgan
as member service representative (MSR), effective Feb. 8, 2005.

Morgan will be available to serve all of MMBB's members, but his
particular focus will be on MMBB's growing relationship with the four
African American conventions for whom MMBB provides benefits. His
appointment brings the total number of MSRs in New York, Valley Forge
and the field to 18.

Morgan serves on the staff of St. Paul's Baptist Church in West Chester,
Pa. From 2001 to mid-2004 he was director of Fisk Teachers Agency, a
recruitment and placement service, and for the following six months was
administrative director of Secondary Education at LaSalle University in
Philadelphia. Morgan has also held positions with Agilent Technologies,
and from 1988 to 1992 he was employed in Hewlett-Packard's Information
Technology Department in Colorado Springs, Colo. His marketing
responsibilities there included support engineering, product and
software support, sales channel training and customer education.

Morgan holds a B.S. degree in political science and religious studies
from Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, Calif., and was certified in
secondary education at San Jose State University.

Commenting on the appointment, Grant said, "Rev. Morgan brings a unique
blend of pastoral experience and business capabilities to this position.
His faith in Jesus Christ is deeply rooted, and his passion for MMBB's
ministry is contagious. Present and future members will be well
served."
