ENS 040705-1

[ENS] The Episcopal Diocese of Texas and the Parish of Trinity
Church-St.
Paul's Chapel in New York are co-sponsoring a unique webcast focusing on
the
Episcopal Church and evangelism.

All are invited to watch the live webcast, which is scheduled to begin
at 10
a.m. Eastern time (9 a.m. Central) on Saturday, April 30. Viewers should
log
on to www.trinitywallstreet.org/evangelism. The webcast will also be
available for on-demand viewing after its conclusion.

"Episcopal Fear Factor: A Webcast on Evangelism," will feature the 2005
recipient of the Bishop Hines Preaching Award, the Rev. James W. Nutter
of
Palmer Memorial Episcopal Church, Houston. Portions of the award-winning
video, "The Discovery Series: A Christian Journey," produced by the
Houston-based Diocese of Texas and its communication director, Carol E.
Barnwell, will also be shown.

Geared for participants gathered in local churches throughout the
country,
the webcast event is designed to provide a safe environment where people
will be guided to define and share their personal stories of faith in a
small group setting. Projectors may be used to screen the webcast for
groups.

At its conclusion, local conveners will help participants answer
questions
designed to build their confidence and ability in sharing faith stories.

Host guidelines, technical requirements, convenor's script and
participant
materials are also available online. A suggested local registration form
is
also available. Congregations are asked to register availability as host
churches so that interested individuals may be directed to local sites.

"We are delighted to partner with Trinity Church for this event," said
Texas
Bishop Don A. Wimberly. "One of our jobs as Christians is to share our
stories with others and it is not something that comes easily to most
people. The webcast event will help us live out this calling of the
Great
Commission."

"This event is designed to provide a safe environment for people to
learn
the art of defining and then sharing their personal stories of faith,"
said
the Rev. Canon Anne Mallonee, vicar of Trinity-St. Paul's. "We look
forward
to hosting one of the locations at Trinity and participating in making
this
valuable event available throughout the country."

Coordination for the webcast has also been provided through Trinity
Church's
communications office, led by Linda Hanick, vice president for
communications and marketing.
