DECATUR, GA - U.S. Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY) will deliver keynote
remarks at Agnes Scott College's 116th Commencement on May 14. The wife of
former President Bill Clinton made history on Nov. 7, 2000 when she became
the only First Lady ever elected to the United States Senate. She is author
of several best-selling books and recipient of numerous awards and honors.

DANVILLE, KY - Brian Grieb, a Centre College sophomore from Louisville, has
won a prestigious Goldwater Scholarship, the premier honor for undergraduates
majoring in the sciences, mathematics or engineering. The scholarship pays up
to $15,000 toward tuition, fees, books, and room-and-board over the next two
years.

CARLINVILLE, IL - The Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) has announced
that Blackburn College will receive an $180,000 educational grant as part of
the 2005 Illinois Mathematics and Science Partnerships (IMSP) program. The
IMSP program is a highly competitive grant program designed to enhance the
content knowledge and teaching skills of classroom teachers.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL - Eckerd College junior Sarah Sieloff from Snohomish WA,
has been selected as a 2005 Truman Scholar, the school's first ever, the
college announced recently. The Harry S. Truman Scholarship Foundation was
established by Congress in 1975 as the federal memorial to the nation's 31st
president. It selects students on the basis of leadership potential,
intellectual ability, and likelihood of "making a difference." The foundation
awards $30,000 in merit-based scholarships to college students who plan to
attend graduate school in preparation for careers in government or elsewhere
in public service.
