American Baptist News Service (Valley Forge, Pa. 4/19/05)--National
Ministries is encouraging American Baptist churches and regions to dig
deeper into their Baptist heritage and faith beginning with Religious
Liberty Sunday, June 5, 2005. To assist in the process, Judson Press,
National Ministries' publishing ministry, is offering a number of
Baptist resources at a 50% discount to all churches.

American Baptists stand in a long line of those who have fought for
religious liberty and secured it for themselves and our nation. Judson
Press recommends that congregations engage in a six-to-fourteen-week
study of Baptist identity, learning about the pioneers of religious
liberty in our denomination, meeting those who spoke boldly on issues of
faith, and celebrating Baptists who stood tall as prophetic witnesses.

As a tool for learning, Judson Press is pleased to offer the We Are
Baptists series at a 50% discount. We Are Baptists establishes a
foundational understanding of what it means to be Baptist. In addition
to Religious Liberty, Issues of Faith, and Prophetic Role, session
themes focus on Soul Freedom, Believer's Baptism, The Bible, Priesthood
of All Believers, Autonomy of the Local Church, Ministry of the Laity,
Discipleship, Evangelism, Worship and Communion, Diversity, and Mission.

We Are Baptists is available for young learners through adults and is
only $8.00 per volume through June 1, 2005. Additional Baptist heritage
titles also are available at this 50% discount: Liberty of Conscience:
Roger Williams in America by Edwin S. Gaustad, Edwin T. Dahlberg:
Pastor, Peacemaker, Prophet by Keith Dahlberg; and To the Golden Shore:
The Life of Adoniram Judson by Courtney Anderson.

Founded in 1824, Judson Press is an American Baptist-related publisher
whose purpose is to create and widely distribute quality educational
resources that are based on sound biblical principles and which
encourage, support and challenge American Baptists and the wider
Christian community in their ministries for Jesus Christ. Published
titles focus on African American issues, Christian living, Christian
education, Baptist history and beliefs, church helps, Bible study,
sermons resources, pastor's resources, and women's issues. Judson Press
currently has approximately 300 books in print and releases
approximately 15 new titles a year.
