American Baptist News Service (Valley Forge, Pa. 5/18/05)--George H.
Tooze Jr., president of The Ministers and Missionaries Benefit Board,
welcomed three new managers to MMBB's Board of Managers at its May
10-11, 2005, meeting.

Annie Marie LeBarbour and Loyd M. Starrett will serve as at-large
managers.   LeBarbour is organizational development consultant with
LeBarbour Associates, Inc., in Rochester, N.Y., and a member of
Rochester's Lake Avenue Baptist Church.  Starrett is an attorney and
counselor-at-law practicing in Beverly, Mass., and is moderator of First
Baptist Church of Gloucester.  Both LeBarbour and Starrett have served
American Baptist Churches USA in numerous positions.

Maurice E. Maertens became a public manager and member of the Finance
Committee effective Jan. 1, 2005. He is chief investment officer for New
York University in New York City.  Prior to accepting his current
position he had a 29-year career in pension and investment management
with Ford Motor Company.
