American Baptist News Service (Valley Forge, Pa. 5/24/05)--Judson Press,
a publishing ministry of National Ministries, American Baptist Churches
USA, has earned recognition in Christian Retailing magazine, referred to
as "the bookbuyers Bible" by industry insiders. Its May 17, 2005 edition
list of top 20 Ethnic and Cultural African American titles of 2004
featured seven Judson books, more than any other publisher.

The list is based on the Evangelical Christian Publisher Association's
Sales Tracking Analysis Trends Summary (STATS) program data from the
General Interest/Ethnic & Cultural/African American category for the
year ending Dec. 31, 2004.

Ranking highest among the Judson titles on the list was The Real Deal:
Spiritual Strategies for Black Teen Girls, by Billie Montgomery Cook, at
number 7.

Church Administration in the Black Perspective, Revised Edition, by
Floyd Massey Jr. and Samuel B. McKinney; The Trouble I've Seen: The Big
Book of Negro Spirituals, by Bruno Chenu; and Christian Education in the
African American Church: A Guide for Teaching Truth, by Lora-Ellen
McKinney ranked at numbers 10, 11 and 12.

Addicted to Hurry: Spiritual Strategies for Slowing Down, by Kirk Byron
Jones, came in at 16; Best Black Sermons, edited by William M. Philpot,
was 19; and Discipleship for African American Christians: A Journey
through the Church Covenant, by William C. Turner, was number 20.

Judson Press Associate Publisher and Marketing Manager Linda Peavy
expressed excitement over the findings: "Judson Press continues to be
intentional about providing resources that speak to the ministry needs
of the African American Christian community. We are both very proud and
very gratified to know that these resources are being so well received."

Founded in 1824, Judson Press' purpose is to provide high quality
resources that are designed to encourage, educate and equip disciples of
Jesus Christ, as they strive to be like Him and the church as a whole as
it seeks to fulfill Christ's mission in the world. For a complete
