Church of the Brethren General Board offers a Brazilian immersion experience

August 22, 2005 (Elgin, IL) -- Experience the Church of the Brethren at work

in Brazil, learn about the culture and history of the country, and see the
sights as part of a delegation, "A Brazilian Immersion," scheduled for Nov.
19-30. The delegation will be led by Greg and Karin Davidson Laszakovits,
Brazil
representatives for the Global Mission Partnerships of the General Board.

Pastors, scholars, laypeople, and those interested in witness or mission are

invited to sign up for the trip. The schedule will include visits to most of

the six fellowships of Igreja da Irmandade (Church of the Brethren in
Brazil), participation in their Annual Conference, and sessions on Brazilian

culture. The teachings of Jesus will be explored from a Brazilian viewpoint.
The
trip will be capped off with a two-day sightseeing trip to Rio de Janeiro.
