American Baptist News Service (Valley Forge, Pa. 9/15/05)--Judson Press,
the publishing ministry of National Ministries, American Baptist
Churches USA, is discounting two of its resources in response to the
Katrina disaster. Publisher Laura Alden announced that both Surviving
Grief: 30 Questions and Answers for a Time of Loss and A Pastor in Every
Pew: Equipping Laity for Pastoral Care would be discounted by 50% for
retail customers for the foreseeable future.

Alden noted, "Surviving Grief offers some measure of care and comfort to
both the hurricane's victims and Christians nationwide who are seeking
solace and asking questions during this difficult time." A Pastor in
Every Pew is designed to help readers render Christian care in a variety
of situations, focusing on trust, effective listening, and more. "As
people look for ways to reach out and help their Christian brothers and
sisters, this book provides the guidance they need," she said, adding
that both books also will be helpful tools for pastors and church
leaders.

Surviving Grief by A. M. Brady Reinsmith is available at the discounted
price of $3.00, and A Pastor in Every Pew by Leroy Howe can be purchased
for $7.50. Both books are available on the Judson Press Web site at
www.judsonpress.com or can be ordered by calling 1-800-4-JUDSON.
