Fall 2005 Lutheran College Fairs Start Oct. 2

     CHICAGO (ELCA) -- A series of free Lutheran college fairs
are scheduled Oct. 2-Nov. 13 throughout the United States.
Prospective students and their parents interested in learning
more about Lutheran colleges and universities -- most of which
are affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America
(ELCA) or Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod -- are invited to
attend.
     The fairs are hosted by the Lutheran Educational Conference
of North America.  At each event students and parents can meet
with Lutheran college representatives and attend workshops on
financial planning, and on college and career planning.
     Families that attend a Lutheran college fair will receive
four application fee waivers, applicable for Lutheran colleges
and universities listed on the fee waiver.
     The fall fair schedule begins Oct. 2 at the Chicago Marriott
O'Hare Hotel, 8535 West Higgins Rd., Chicago.  The event begins
with registration at 4 p.m., workshops are at 4:30 p.m., and the
fair and reception begins at 5:30 p.m.
     There are 10 other events:
     + Oct. 3, Radisson Hotel & Conference Center, 10 Brickyard
Dr., Bloomington, Ill. Financial Aid seminar, 6:30 p.m., fair and
reception, 7 p.m.
     + Oct. 4, Hoffman House, 7550 East State St., Rockford, Ill.
Financial aid seminar, 6:30 p.m., fair and reception, 7 p.m.
     + Oct. 9, Omaha Marriott Hotel, 10220 Regency Circle, Omaha,
Neb. Workshops, 4 p.m., fair and reception, 5 p.m.
     + Oct. 10, Sheraton West Des Moines, 1800 50th St., West Des
Moines, Iowa.  Financial aid seminar, 7 p.m., fair and reception,
7:30 p.m.
     + Oct. 16, Sheraton Westport Plaza Hotel, 900 Westport
Plaza, St. Louis. Workshops, 4 p.m., fair and reception, 5 p.m.
     + Oct. 17, Sheraton Overland Park Hotel, 6100 College Blvd.,
Overland Park, Kan. Financial aid seminar, 6:30 p.m., fair and
reception, 7 p.m.
     + Oct. 29, Sheraton Portland Airport Hotel, 8235 NE Airport
Way, Portland, Ore.  Financial aid seminar, 11:30 a.m., fair and
reception, noon.
     + Oct. 30, Marriott Sea-Tac Airport, 3201 South 176th St.,
Seattle. Workshops, 4 p.m., fair and reception, 5 p.m.
     + Nov. 12, Troy Marriott Hotel, 200 West Big Beaver Rd.,
Troy, Mich.  Financial aid seminar, 11:30 a.m., fair and
reception, noon.
     + Nov. 13, Hilton Cleveland South, 6200 Quarry Lane,
Independence, Ohio. Workshops, 4 p.m., fair and reception, 5 p.m.
