MECC General Secretary attended the REOs' annual meeting organized by the
World Council of Churches in the US, from September 22-23, 2005. Mr. Saleh
presented a report about MECC current activities and distributed a Power
Point CD about the present work of the Council and future perspectives.  A
press conference was convened on this occasion at the National Press Club in
Washington on September 23, 2005 during which MECC General Secretary gave an
overview of the Council's programs and activities.

On September 26, Mr. Saleh met with the Governing Board of the National
Council of Churches of Christ-USA.  In his greeting words, he thanked the
NCCC-USA for the friendship and support it has always given the MECC,
highlighting its high standards of Christian integrity.

Mr. Saleh spoke about the difficult situation in the Middle East region,
underlining the aspirations of the Palestinian people for a just peace and
the hopes of the Iraqi people for an end to the occupation and violence. For
