Several Western church delegations visited Lebanon and Syria this month.
Among others, a group of teachers of religions in Norwegian schools, the
United Evangelical churches in Netherlands, the Presbyterian Church Chicago
Task Force, the Church of Sweden. The delegations came on study tours to
learn more about Christianity in the region and to make contacts with local
churches and learn about Muslim-Christian co-existence and their
experiences. The delegations visited project and sites in the 2 countries,
met with Heads of Churches, Muslim religious leaders including the Grand
Mufti of Syria.
