VALLEY FORGE, PA (ABNS)-Judson Press announced three new resources in
November: Jordan's Hair, African American Church Management Handbook,
and, for the first time in paperback, Together for Good: Lessons from
Fifty-Five Years of Marriage.

"We simply fell in love with Jordan," said publisher Laura Alden.
Jordan's Hair by Ed and Sonya Spruill, tells the story of little Jordan
who thinks God doesn't love him because he looks different from his
friends at school. Through the help of his parents and teacher, Jordan
learns that he is beautifully and wonderfully made just as he is--
because this is how God made him. For ages 4-8, the book teaches an
invaluable lesson on self-love and self-esteem.

Jordan's Hair has received outstanding reviews and publicity, with
Aspiring Retailing writing: "The bold, bright, and colorful
illustrations fill entire pages and should keep kids visually interested
while absorbing the book's message. An excellent addition to homeschool
or Christian school libraries." Precious Times praised the book, saying,
"Jordan's Hair is beautifully drawn, and the story line is timeless."

African American Church Management Handbook is another high profile
publication for Judson Press. This resource covers crucial management
and administrative topics to help the black church thrive. Co-authored
by highly regarded pastor Floyd Flake; his wife, co-pastor and author
Elaine Flake; and church chief financial officer Edwin Reed, the book
offers a design based on key needs in the black church, and shares the
authors' experience at one of the nation's most respected and largest
black churches, Greater Allen A.M.E. Cathedral in New York City.

Finally, Judson Press has published for the first time in paperback,
Together for Good by Ella P. and Henry H. Mitchell. This moving memoir
chronicles the Mitchells' fifty-eight year relationship; it begins with
their meeting at Union Theological Seminary and follows them throughout
their lives. Filled with anecdotes and the couple's down-to-earth
candor, Together for Good shares the secret to lasting love and
friendship. National Ministries Executive Director Dr. Aidsand
Wright-Riggins III describes the book as a "tender dialogue between them
spanning a half century of changes, crises and challenges; it reminds us
that all of life is indeed dialogue and that something mystical and
magical happens in relationships when we truly see, hear and tenaciously
embrace the other."

Founded in 1824, Judson Press is a publishing ministry of National
Ministries, American Baptist Churches USA.
