2006 ARCHDIOCESAN YEARBOOK AVAILABLE ONLINE JANUARY 2

New York - The 2006 Yearbook of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese will be
available online January 2 at www.yearbook.goarch.org.	Printed copies will
be available by mail on or about January 27, 2006.

In his prologue, Archbishop Demetrios calls upon the faithful to â??focus
on the fact that we are witnesses of a Gospel which links the love of God
to the service of man. Limitless love is the absolute expression of our
God, a God who became man in order to serve man. In the form of
philanthropic witness in the form of a divine love in the name of Christ
and in continuity with His unique ministry of love, compassion and care, we
must develop in the best possible way our offerings of care and love
following in the words of the Apostle Peter, â??In sincere love for the
brethren love another fervently with a pure heartâ?? (1 Peter 1:22).â??

Designed as an easy-to-read, accurate reference handbook of the Greek
Orthodox Archdiocese, the 276-page new edition includes updated directories
of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, Archdiocesan departments and institutions,
parishes, priests, religious and secular media resources and an 8-page
color spread of activities and major events, including the passing of
Archbishop Iakovos and Hurricane Katrina, throughout the Archdiocese in the
past year.

Each parish of the Archdiocese will receive two complimentary copies of the
2006 Yearbook.
