Title: Taiwan's Premier "Sunday School Teacher For A Day" Taiwan Church News 2823 3-9 April 2006 Reported by Chiou Kuo-rong. Written by David Alexander

Taiwan's chapter of the End Childhood Prostitution in Asian Tourism (ECPAT/TW) invited Premier Su Tseng-chang to address a forum held at Shuang-Lien Presbyterian Church in Taipei on April 2nd. Deemed a ¡§Sunday School Teacher for a Day¡¨, Premier Su offered comments on the book "Don't Take Me There" which was recently published by the association. The volume is a collection of stories of children who have been sold or enticed into the sex trade. It is a call to everyone to respect children's lives.

In his comments, Premier Su said that life itself is an expression of hope and that as sure as the sun that sets this evening will rise tomorrow, there are always opportunities for new hope. Adversity can be met with effort, and goals can be met.

He called on parents nationwide to show love for coming generations because children are our hope and have human rights. He encourages all to see children not as property, but as the future of everyone.
