VALLEY FORGE, PA (ABNS)-Bacone College, an American Baptist-related college in Muskogee, OK, will begin offering Christian Ministry courses online this coming May.

The first course to be offered is Introduction to Christian Ministries which will, among other things, help students investigate opportunities for ministry as well as determine personal plans for preparation for ministry. Other courses to be offered online in the near future are: Old Testament Literature, New Testament Literature, Sociology of Christianity, Life of Christ, Life of Paul, and World Religions. Though the Christian Ministries major will not be a completely online program, it will allow students to apply for college credit for past training and personal/work-related learning experiences.

According to Bacone's Admissions Department, "This program is especially designed for the active layman, bi-vocational pastor or tent-making leader who is self-supporting. Most ministry courses will be taken online during the regular academic year. Online discussions will be conducted in the evenings or on weekends so that working adults can participate. This allows the student to develop personally and professionaly almost exclusively at home."

Prospective students can inquire or register for the course by calling the Department of Adult Education, Bacone College at 918-781-7328 or by emailing to FrazierT@bacone.edu .
