VALLEY FORGE, PA (ABNS)-Jacci White, National Ministries' national coordinator of Volunteers In Mission, will retire this month after working with American Baptist Churches USA since 1992.

White became coordinator of Volunteers In Mission in 2003. For the past three years, White helped people serve the Lord while holding a strong belief in the value of their volunteer efforts. She also served as administrative assistant to National Ministries' executive director and as administrative assistant to the executive director of American Baptist Women's Ministries prior to her service with National Ministries.

Dr. David Laubach, Associate Executive Director, Program Ministries for NM said, "In addition to faithfully supporting volunteers with our historic ABC mission partners, Jacci has been an excellent team player working with the National Ministries response to the Gulf Coast storms. She has recently provided valuable input to two major projects, one with Habitat for Humanity in Jackson County, Miss., and one with ABC of Greater Indianapolis in Pass Christian, Miss."

"Jacci enjoys helping people and seeing the results of their volunteer efforts. So far in 2006, she has helped 32 groups respond to Hurricane Katrina and finds inspiration in the commitment of American Baptists to respond to the disaster in the Gulf Coast," said Dr. Aidsand F. Wright-Riggins, Executive Director of National Ministries. "Jacci White strengthened National Ministries' reputation for being a stellar point of service and support for volunteer ministries. We wish Jacci well in her retirement and expect to see her as a Volunteer In Mission in the future."
