VALLEY FORGE, PA (ABNS 7/27/06)-This Sunday, July 30, Everett C. Goodwin, pastor of Scarsdale Community Church in Scarsdale, New York, will be featured on the Interfaith Connections program on WKTU-FM, New York City. During his interview with host Ben Gums, Goodwin shares insight from his Judson Press book Down by the Riverside: A Brief History of Baptist Faith. He also answers questions about the new National Ministries' initiative, ABC Reads, which launched in June with Everett's book as the first selection for the year-long program.
In Down by the Riverside, Goodwin provides a basic orientation to the historical and theological origins of Christian faith as practiced by Baptist believers. This readable overview serves as a guide to understanding Baptist faith and identity.
