ECUMENTICAL CONSULTATION TOWARDS WORLD SOCIAL FORUM (WSF)
As you are aware, the World Social Forum (WSF) dubbed as a forum for the poor, will be held in Nairobi in January next year. It is expected to gather a record 100,000 participants from all over the world.
In preparation for the forum, heads of churches from all over Africa will team up with a Brazilian delegation in Nairobi for a meeting (ecumenical consultation) to strategize for effective presence at the forum.
We will appreciate if you or your representative could attend the meeting scheduled to start on Tuesday (August 29) at 8.30 am at the conference centre of the All Africa Conference of Churches, Waiyaki Way, Westlands, Nairobi. The meeting is planned to end on Friday morning.
The world church is considered a large and significant constituency for the World Social Forum where it will share its experience in working with the poor and the oppressed. The forum's theme is:- Together for Social Justice.
