On August 10, 2006, the ACT Alliance met to discuss the situation in the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT) and in Lebanon and the ACT response in these two areas.
MECC General Secretary, Mr. Guirgis Saleh, and MECC/Department of Service to Palestinian Refugees (DSPR) Executive Secretary, Dr. Bernard Sabella attended the meeting. The first part of the meeting was allocated to the OPT and the second to Lebanon. Partners shared their concerns and challenges faced in the field and updated each other with respect to the Appeals for both the OPT and Lebanon, discussed in detail issues of funding, advocacy and communication, coordination, as well as capacities, limits and responsibilities.
MECC General Secretary expressed his thanks for all the support received from the ACT Alliance both in the Occupied Palestinian Territories and Lebanon.
