Problematic Issues Confronting the Christian-Muslim Dialogue

Joint MECC/Cultural Center for Iranian Arab Studies Panel on ³Problematic Issues Confronting the Christian-Muslim Dialogue² was held on Thursday November 9, 2006 at the Hotel Commodore, in Beirut. Key-note speakers, H.G. Bishop Georges Khodr, Greek Orthodox Bishop of Mount Lebanon, Ayatollah Mahdi Hadowi Tahrani, member of the International Organization for Religions, and Sheikh Chafic Jradi, Director of the Institution for Religious & Philosophical Studies, highlighted the problems still facing Christian-Muslim dialogue as well as other (political, social, etc.) dialogues, and concluded that ³Understanding² is all what is needed to overcome obstacles.
